The past week brought mom and dad to Atlanta, they came up and spent Thanksgiving week with us, and even though I worked some crazy hours 5pm-1am every night we did get some time to spend together. Some of the highlights included time spent going to Russ's and learning/ watching him brew a Brown Ale with Mike O., a trip to the Georgia Dome to see the Falcons play Tampa Bay, maybe I should say Tampa Bay buck the Falcons...... (This made dad proud!), a traditional trip to Ippolitos, a new tradition of a trip to Fajitas, and of course a peaceful but filling Thanksgiving.

Dad and I went to Russ's home and met up with him and Mike O. for a lesson in beer and home brewing. We learned about mashing in, and various enzymes and the whatnot, most importantly we were able to try some of the beer that they had previously brewed including an excellent Imperial Stout and I think an IPA. This experience lead us to piling into moms car on Monday and heading to Jax (the package store), and boy whoever this Jax guy is he should be happy that we went.

We had a good time visiting with Kelly, Chris, and Madison on Thanksgiving, it was a shock to my parents to see how much Madison has grown since they last saw her (6-7 mos ago), well I guess it was not much of a shock it was more exciting for them to see her cruise around and getting into everything.

Karrie and I had a great time with the visit and were both sad to see them leave on Friday, it just seemed so early, but we understand with them having to pack a house up and move this coming week.

So it looks like mom and dad are on the move again. They have just had a contract signed on their home in Venice, so it looks like they will be moving to their new home which is also in their subdivision, they are very excited about the move. I am looking forward to trying out the new pool that they designed to make it easier for mom and a little bit larger.
